4. Sample some saltwater Taffy
This is a delicious large chewy sweet which is individually wrapped in jewel-colored wrappers. Funnily enough, if you look down the list of ingredients, you will not find saltwater, but never mind, Taffys are fun sweets and a bag of assorted colored ones makes a great gift idea for the folk back home.

A cactus cooler is a refreshing pineapple and orange soda made famous by Fred Flintstone and is really thirst-quenching and makes an amusing gift.

This is an interesting organization whose volunteers spend their time rounding up honey bees that have settled where they shouldn’t! The hives are relocated to somewhere more suitable and the honey is sold to fund the group’s work. A jar of honey really is an unusual and rather special gift because of the story behind it.
7. Grow your own miniature redwood tree
Imagine the fun of nurturing your very own redwood tree. Muir Woods is situated in California‘s Golden Gate National Recreation Area and is visited by tourists from all over the world wanting to see some of the tallest redwoods in the world. 8. Cheers with some Napa Valley wine
The wines produced in this area are really excellent and many of the wineries offer guided tours and wine tasting, making it a relaxing way to go souvenir shopping! The area is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and velvety Merlot and also produces some excellent Chardonnays and sparkling wines.
9. Try resisting the boxes of chocolates!
There are some really gorgeous boxes of chocolate on the local market made by See’s. The boxes are beautifully designed and the taste of the different flavored chocolates is truly excellent. The company has been making luxury chocolates since 1922 and has more than 200 shops across the United States.
10. Buy a Route 66 license plate
Route 66 is the most iconic roads in the United States and the distinctive-looking black and white license plate with the outline of a shield that simply states ‘Route 66’ will certainly be a fun souvenir to buy and will definitely trigger conversation – wherever you display it.
